Personal Websites Have you ever fancied having your very own personal website? A website can give your business a presence on the world wide web, or can help promote your personal interests, clubs and organisations? Having your own website can...
In the 21st century, having your own website gives a business or organisation a massive edge over those that haven't got one. You site is visible 24/7 to everyone in the UK and around the world. Being able to put a website address on your advert, business card or brochure gives you presence and stability, and it can say far more then any newspaper ad or brochure can. What will I need to do? First of all, all you need to do is contact me and I will talk your through owning a website in detail. I will advise you on a good web host provider who will supply you with your website address (the www. bit) and somewhere to store it. Once you have set up your account with them, I do the rest. It's simple! All I'll need from you is any particular ideas, text or graphics that you'd like to include and the website upload details given to you by your web-space provider. Once I start work on you're website, I will give you a personal link so that you can see it "grow" online and provide me with feed back. Once it is finished and you are totally happy with it, I will publish it for you and submit it to all the major search engines like Google and Yahoo free of charge. In no time at all, people will be able to search and find you're website on the internet anywhere in the UK or even the world. From start to finish it will normally take around 2-4 weeks depending on the size etc. How much will it cost? Not as much as you may think. Websites like my own are amazingly inexpensive to run. I pay my web host provider around £30 a year for this one, but it pays for itself several times over in new business. Some internet service providers even allow their customers some free web space and I have designed and uploaded personal websites for some of my customers using this method. I'd recommend that you use a web host provider though if you want to have your own professional looking web address and email. If you click on the 1&1 graphic, it will
give you a better idea of their charges
Once you have you address set up, you can have your website deigned and uploaded online. The price that I charge you will be very competitive and will vary depending on the number of web pages that you require but normally, 5 or 6 pages will give you a good basic website to start off with, and extra pages or new features can easily be added at a later date if you so wished. Once completed, your only ongoing cost will be your annual subscription payment to your website host provider, which will probably work out as a fraction of the cost that you'd pay for one advert in your local newspaper. There are no other hidden extras! It couldn't be easier to have your own website so for more information please contact me and I will be pleased to explain things to you in more detail.
